AI-assisted programming is creating a new need for faster ways to manage prompts, agents and repetitive commands. Logitech’s MX Keypad addresses that need with a compact hardware panel designed to sit beside a regular keyboard.
The device includes nine customisable full-colour LCD keys. Each key can launch an application, run a command, trigger a macro or send a prompt. The controls can also change depending on the software being used.
The keypad is designed for workflows involving GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, VS Code and IntelliJ IDEA. Logitech has worked with GitHub on native integration, while its software and developer SDK allow users to create more personalised shortcuts and tools.
At ₹15,999 in India, the MX Keypad is positioned as a specialist productivity accessory rather than a replacement for a keyboard. Its USB-C connection supports Windows 10 or later and macOS 13 or later.
