Nita Ambani drew attention at Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s 40th anniversary celebration in Mumbai in a deep crimson saree. Tone-on-tone geometric embroidery along the border and pallu gave the traditional silhouette a polished contemporary finish.
The evening also brought Isha Ambani, Shloka Mehta and Radhika Merchant together in distinctly different versions of occasionwear, spanning silver, ivory, gold and floral detailing. Rather than matching, the four looks created a varied showcase of Indian luxury fashion.
Set at Mubarak Baug, the anniversary celebrated four decades of the designers’ work. Nita Ambani’s rich red drape became one of the event’s defining visual moments because it balanced craft, colour and a clear sense of occasion.
