The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to open registration for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 soon. Engineering aspirants can prepare in advance by keeping their photographs, signatures, academic records and applicable certificates ready before filling out the application form.
The official registration date has not yet been announced. Candidates should check the official JEE Main website for the latest notification and final application instructions.
1. Recent Photograph
Candidates should keep a recent photograph ready in the prescribed digital format. According to the current application guidance, applicants will also need to provide a live photograph while completing the online form.
Check the official instructions for the required image format, size and other specifications before uploading it.
2. Scanned Signature
A scanned image of the candidate’s signature may be required during registration. Make sure the image is clear and follows the format and size limits specified by NTA.
3. Class 10 Marksheet or Certificate
Keep the Class 10 or equivalent marksheet or certificate available. It can help candidates verify important details, including their name and date of birth, while filling out the application.
Check that the information entered in the form matches the relevant official records.
4. Identity Details and Aadhaar
Candidates should keep their identification details ready and ensure that their records are accurate. NTA has previously advised JEE applicants to check their Aadhaar details, including name, date of birth and photograph, before registration.
Applicants should follow the identity-verification requirements specified in the JEE Main 2027 information bulletin rather than assuming that every document requirement will remain unchanged.
5. Category Certificate, If Applicable
Candidates applying under eligible reserved categories should check whether they need an updated certificate. This may include EWS, SC, ST or OBC-NCL documentation, depending on their circumstances and the official application rules.
Verify the certificate’s validity and prescribed format before submitting the application.
6. PwD or PwBD Certificate, If Applicable
Candidates seeking applicable accommodations under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) or Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) provisions should keep the relevant certificate ready, where required.
Check the latest NTA instructions to confirm the acceptable documents and any additional requirements.
7. Active Email Address and Mobile Number
A working email address and mobile number are important for registration and receiving application-related updates. Candidates should use contact details they can access throughout the examination process.
Keep the application number and login credentials secure after registration.
How to Prepare Before Registration Opens
Before beginning the application, organise digital copies of the relevant documents and verify that personal and academic details are consistent. Once registration opens, visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in, complete the form, upload the prescribed files, pay the applicable fee and save the confirmation page after successful submission.
The January 2027 examination is scheduled for January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30, with January 31 kept as a buffer date. Candidates should rely on the official NTA notification for registration deadlines and the final document checklist.
