India completed a 3-0 T20I series sweep against Afghanistan after a spectacular performance in the third and final match in New Delhi. The highlight of the game was a record-breaking knock from opening batter Abhishek Sharma, who smashed 108 runs from just 34 balls.
Abhishek reached his century in only 30 balls, registering the fastest T20I century by an Indian batter. His explosive innings included nine fours and 11 sixes, helping India post a massive total of 221/7.
The left-hander was particularly aggressive during the powerplay, reaching his half-century in just 16 deliveries. His 108-run innings set the foundation for India’s commanding victory and earned him the Player of the Match award.
India’s bowling attack then completed the job, restricting Afghanistan to 94 all out and securing a 127-run victory. Ravi Bishnoi and Nitish Kumar Reddy played key roles with three wickets each.
Abhishek also finished the three-match series with 229 runs, earning the Player of the Series award. His record-breaking performance has added another major milestone to his growing T20I career.

The left-hander began aggressively and raced to his half-century in just 16 balls. He then accelerated even further, scoring his next 50 runs from only 14 deliveries. His extraordinary strike rate of more than 300 put Afghanistan under immediate pressure.
The victory completed India’s 3-0 series sweep, following wins in the opening two matches. Abhishek had already made an impact earlier in the series, and his record-breaking final-match performance provided a spectacular finish.
The performance also underlined Abhishek’s growing importance in India’s T20 setup. His ability to attack from the beginning and maintain an extraordinary scoring rate has made him one of the key talking points from India’s Afghanistan series.
