The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the key dates for the 2027 Women’s Premier League (WPL), confirming that the fifth edition of the tournament will be played from January 14 to February 7, 2027. The announcement sets the stage for another major season of women’s T20 cricket in India.
The WPL 2027 schedule announcement also provides franchises with important deadlines for squad planning. The five participating teams will first have to complete their player-retention process before heading into the auction later in October.
According to the BCCI, WPL 2027 will begin on January 14, 2027, with the tournament scheduled to conclude on February 7. The BCCI has not yet announced the complete match-by-match fixture list or confirmed the host cities for the tournament.The upcoming season will be the fifth edition of the Women’s Premier League. The 2026 WPL season was won by Royal Challengers Bengaluru, led by Smriti Mandhana. The victory gave RCB their second WPL title, after their earlier championship in 2024.
