An Indian woman’s house tour in the US has turned into an unexpected conversation about money, space and what “middle class” really means.
Sonal Chaudhary, who lives in Connecticut, recently showed viewers around her family home—and the internet couldn’t agree on whether the property should really be described as middle class. The video has attracted more than 51 million views.

According to Chaudhary, the family purchased the property in 2023 for $440,000.
She now estimates its value at approximately ₹5–6 crore.
