Mumbai, September 19, 2026 – Actor Ranbir Kapoor was seen carrying the family’s Ganpati idol during the visarjan ceremony on Friday evening, joined by wife Alia Bhatt, mother Neetu Kapoor and their daughter Raha.
The Kapoor family gathered at their Mumbai residence for the traditional farewell to Lord Ganesha. Dressed in a rust-orange kurta paired with white trousers, Ranbir walked barefoot while holding the decorated idol and led the chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya.”
Neetu Kapoor, wearing a blue kurta set, carried a puja thali and joined her son in the chants. Alia Bhatt, elegant in a pink-and-green traditional outfit, held young Raha in her arms. The little girl was dressed in pastel shades. Alia was also seen carefully shielding Raha from the bright camera flashes of the paparazzi, at times walking backwards to keep her daughter away from the lenses.
Ranbir shared a warm moment with the waiting media, distributing sweets to the photographers before the family proceeded with the immersion rituals. The celebrations remained relatively intimate, with the family members posing briefly and participating in the customary prayers and chants.
