Lando Norris delivered a stunning comeback at Zandvoort to win the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix, claiming his second consecutive Formula 1 victory and keeping his championship hopes alive.
Starting from pole, Norris initially led the race before Kimi Antonelli moved ahead following the restart after Max Verstappen’s early crash. Norris remained patient and eventually regained the lead with 18 laps remaining, using a well-timed strategy and fresher tyres to pass the Mercedes driver.
Antonelli finished second, while George Russell completed the podium. The result strengthened Mercedes’ position in the championship, with Antonelli maintaining a 59-point advantage over Russell and Lewis Hamilton. Norris is now fourth, 83 points behind the championship leader.
The race also ended dramatically for home favourite Max Verstappen, who crashed out early after losing control of his Red Bull. He escaped the incident without injury, but the crash brought out the red flag and forced a restart.
